after you get hurt by that one person that made you so happy… after your trust and respect for them becomes non-existent, and hearing their name just makes you cringe… after crying and hurting for days and days… after being so angry and upset, there’s no way in the world you would say that they deserve to have you back. no matter how hard they try. because they fucked up for a reason. and it’s because of that reason that you aren’t together.

but despite all those tears, all that hurt and anger, there’s still apart of you that misses them so much. it’s the memories that kill the most. it’s the silly things, the first times, the funny moments, the serious moments, the people you’ve met because of them, the everything. it’s these things we hang on to that makes letting them go so difficult no matter how hard they hurt you.

but you just have to stay strong and put that aside. you have to stop listening to your heart and believe what is right and just for you; what you deserve. never regret anything, just learn from mistakes. and someday, hope that if they said they loved you as much as they did, hope. hope that they would change their ugly habits because they never ever want to put you through another heart break ever again. hope that they prove to you what needs to be proven.
